ASUCD Social Media Guidelines
ASUCD understands the vital role social media plays in interacting with followers and attracting an audience for each respective ASUCD unit, service, program and advocacy area. Digital Marketing and Communications have become such an important part of the way we market ourselves and our organizations. In addition, it helps with promoting events, sharing news, creating relationships with students, and staying connected with the community. To be effective on social media, each unit/commission/committee will need to connect with the UC Davis community at large to foster a place for vibrant and thoughtful engagement. This handbook will cover all things, A-Z, about social media.
ASUCD Values
Social media is a powerful tool to connect with the community and, when used effectively, will help keep followers engaged, informed and active. ASUCD’s four core values that define the social media strategy for authentic and genuine connections are:
- Listen to our followers: students and community.
- Engage with intention. Avoid personal opinions.
- Increase ASUCD’s overall brand awareness.
- Enhance student life, digitally and virtually.
