The "Before You Post" Checklist
Before hitting share, please ensure your post meets these 10 criteria:
- Fonts: Am I using Proxima Nova, Freight Text, or Ryman Eco?
- Alt Text: Did I add a hidden description to my post?
- Image Description: At the end of your caption, did I type a more detailed description of the image and context?
- All text that appears on your graphic must also be typed out in the caption.
- Video Captions: Does my video have accurate subtitles for all words spoken?
- Audible Representation: Is all on-screen text also spoken aloud/voiced over?
- Links: If there is a QR code, is the actual URL provided?
- Contrast: Is the text-to-background contrast ratio high enough for easy reading?
- CamelCase Hashtags: Are you capitalizing the first letter of each word in hashtags (e.g., #UC DavisAggies)?
- Emoji Usage: Are emojis kept to a minimum and placed at the end of captions rather than in the middle of sentences?
